Thanks for the response. I've read that they are supposed to be an excellent unit. I am always looking for ways to make my set-up sound better/cleaner and I've seen these microphones in the magazines. I wasn't sure if they would live up to the advertisements claims or not. I like my Turner+3B...

Update: I was unable to locate a switch. I called Tripp-Lite and within one day I was approved to send it back to Tripp-Lite in Chicago,IL and they are going to send me a new unit free of charge. I had to pay $13.88 to U.P.S. it from Iowa to Chicago, but, it would have probably cost close to...

I love my older President HR-2510, it works top notch for me. But, I also like the idea of having a radio that is mostly made in the good old USA (Ranger). If I was to need to buy a replacement I would really consider the RCI brand. Cheaper price and very flexible. </p>

Thanks for the input guys. I bought the morse code tapes from Gordon West and to my dismay, I am haveing a h*ll of a time learning CW. My ears are shot, I have had hearing aids for both ears since I was 28 years old. The cross over freq. for the highs and lows on my hearing aids is 1K, exactly...

Shouldn't cause a problem at all. But, after alot of abuse (bumping,vibration,ect.) the meter might not stay accurate. </p>
