33's are a bit taller on 10" rims, a bit wider on 12"s. I wouldnt try to put any on an 8" rim.

Funny thing physics, things work or they don't. Kerosene(jet fuel) will not burn hot enough to melt or substantially weaken steel. Not even under controlled conditions. Building #7 was NOT hit by any planes or fuel. How did it fall? No steel building had ever fallen due to fire. Still...

Thanks, but I've tried different mics. The radio keys, just no output power. Nothing on SSB, no carrier on AM.

Intermittent TX. Audio section is fine, just no power output sometimes. LED goes red, RX goes away, radio meter shows no output along with external power meter. I've been told transistors(final,driver) are either good or bad, is this true? Good, strong TX when it works.

Why no solid state 1X3's? Paws, aren't some tube amps push pull? Please dumb down the answer if possible. Not easy stuff for the GED Class of 1999 lol

How does that work? Solid state has the pills paired up. I have a tube amp, 1 driver, 3 driven.

Sounds good. I have no idea what works onna heavy antenna, my 10k is on a standard antenna mount, through an 1/8" thick piece of aluminum flat stock mounted to the front of my cap. Works fine.

I love my 10K. Works way better than my Wilson 1000, tunes alot better than a 102" whip. Weighs nothing. Never had anoter brand of open coil antenna, might never.

I used electrical tape on mine. Start at the top, and spiral down. I used black and green, it's impossible to see from the road, it blends in with the trees.
