Found this interesting opinion piece on Net radio that could shed new light on this topic as well as other radio related topics.........
Prometheus Background: Alternatives to LPFM
I've stumbled upon a discussion on a fairly new type of radio...Internet radio. The radios to listen to this new way to listen to radio are just now coming on the market as near as I can tell.
Now I don't want to offend or get flamed for radio heresy but does anyone here own a net radio or use...
Interesting. I've been a long time fan of Kenwood Audio equipment and my current steoro is a Kenwood brand. I eyeballed the Kenwood R-1000 in my cruising on e-bay. So that makes your suggestion of a KW R-1000 ok by me!
I have a Grundig GS350DL from Amazon to try so I'll wait until it...

Thanks for the reply's fellas.
Loosecannon.. what kind of wire & gage? Copper or stainless or? And the wire gage??
The broomstick looks interesting since I can't climb trees or do ladders anymore. (I'l bribe the neighbor's boys for that. :D) What gage of wire and unless I miss...
I hope to be able to buy a decent REALISTIC DX-160 off e-bay soon. I'm just getting back into SWL and at my age (63) I still like the old hands on way of doing things so this analog radio is perfect to play with.
Since I am retired the budget is razor thin for play toys so I like to use what I...
