Got the new antenna today swr was slightly better but still not good the whip was much shorter had 1.1 on 40 and 2.2 on 1. with stinger all the way down I trimmed about 1/8: off swr seemed to go up slightly across the band. It was getting dark so I gave up for the day.

Jeep has plastic bumpers its a 2003 Grand Cherokee I could make use a bracket to come out above the rear tail light. I originally had it there thought i didn't have enough ground plane. The tram seems to work the skip shooter did seem to have more receive.
