Keep the grant and get a cobra 29 if your on AM all the time. Switch out one for the other from time to time. Just set the 29 to run clean and mean. If wanting to run a amp have a variable dk added. 0 to 4 watts dk. 16 watts pep out the 29 is all you need.

I cut my power from 400 watts to 100 and still no issues. I was hitting his station harder than he was me and he stated that he needed a antenna like this to ever get to the states from his part of the OZ and that it was common for stations over here to hit him harder than the other way around...

I run one at 300 watt dk 1200 pep and it works great. Crusher did the work to modify a wizard built and it runs very good. 2300 volts. This is about all I need and 0 problems with neighbors.

If you want a outside one try a scantenna. A discone would be smaller. Procom spyder isnt real big. Universial radio has a pretty large selection.

Just use a wire dipole. Mount it in a inverted v for omni.

Higher the better for local. Ive heard you can go to high but I would think that would be a 3 mile high tower lol.

I use a 95t and after about 5 min warmup its rock steady on SSB. That's a nice looking radio.
