I haven't tried much, except the stock mic, and a Turner RK70, but the Digi-Mike has been great on President radios. I'm using 4 right now, all on Presidents (McKinley EU, George FCC, George II, and the Washington. The stock mic that comes with the Washington has a little extra weight to it, so...

For now - Just radio gear. IC-705, Bionno 20AH battery, 5v adapter to charger phones of other 5v stuff. Several wire antennas, jumpers, misc parts, etc. stored in a Photo back pack.

You can p/u a decent Daiwa, or Diamond meter in the forsale forum on QRZ, or on QRT. Save $$$. Generally it's pretty safe, I've only bought used meters off their forums for a couple decades - no issues.

If it's like the old one I still use, when you pull up on the antenna, it folds over. I thought I broke mine as well.:cool:

I've never had an issue with Comet or Diamond. You might consider something in their line of antennas.

If you decide to buy something different, I'll suggest the Washington. Nice specs, and it looks impressive with the brushed dark gray face plate vs. Chrome
