Sigma Eurocom Skip Master 5/8 or Thunderpole Galaxy 5/8

Yes they appear to be exactly the same antenna. I ordered the Thunderbolt Galaxy 5/8 wave and have been using it for about a year now. Its hard to comprehend the performance because I dont have a good comparison on this property. That said, there is a good group of locals here my area of New...

    Ideal Minimum Antenna Height

Hi Riverman Thanks for that link. I have 3 of those type brace mounts as opposed to 2. So there is some additional support with the 3rd brace. That said, 3 feet of a 10 foot mast would be sunk into the 3 braces leaving about 6 to 7 feet above the top brace. So this gets the bottom of the antenna...

    Ideal Minimum Antenna Height

Anyone have any experiance with either of these 5/8 wave fiberglass stick antennas? They have been around for a while in the Europe markets. Its the same antenna marketed under 2 names. They some times appear on eBay here in the states.

    Super Scanner Antenna

I had a Super Scanner back in the 70's. Performance on omni was about same as my Sigma 5/8. Only beam did it match the performance of the Sigma. I took it down and sold it. Then put up a Moonraker 4. I would not waste my time with the SS. Besides, they can only handle about 50watts if I'm not...
