Ok, I have seen that doing this mod is good. I see that I would use a 100 ohm resistor and a 1n1004 diode but where do they go in a Galaxy DX959.

Hey Headhunter, I love this radio. I actually like it more than the Cobra 142GTL I had. Easy to do mods on.

Cobra 29 has echo in it, the Uniden 66xl has blue light for the meter and the Galaxy 2547 I picked up for $50.00, needed a new final.

So, I picked up a Uniden 66xl and a the ERF 2030 was done on it. Well I want to put it back to original simply because it isn't doing any more than what it did before the mod. I need a schematic that I can read. Preferably in PDF form. I am trying to find the values for the following...

So if I read the review correctly this freq counter only shows frequency when the mic is keyed. if so is there a external freq counter that shows frequency all the time?

I have a Royce 619 that has a bad 2sc2166. No reading on my multimeter. I have very low rx and no tx, just the rx/tx light changes and that is it. i have too turn the volume all the way up to hear anything and when I key a radio close by, the meter barely moves.
