i listened to 38lsb for a bit today, sounded like the conditions were good. lots of pile ups, i couldn't get out though. Lots of strong stations having lengthy QSOs, wouldn't shut up.

just turn on the 959 about 20 minutes before you're ready to use it... drift issue disappears...

daaaay after daaaay after daaaay jetsons bell.... I hate all of that shit. SSB usually sucks in the afternoon for this reason. Gets so much better in the evening after the irritating folk hang up the mic. Hope it's better on the HAM bands.

He didn't mention me being off, we just exchanged numbers. He came through really clear so I called his numbers. Next thing I know he is calling me back. Instead of just incessantly calling cq I'm gonna try calling out numbers more often, that worked out.

Hopped on the CB this evening and made a QSO with 291 Upstate New York! That is my first DX contact where a station and I actually exchanged numbers. Wow, how awesome. Right from my driveway. Finally.
