There was a local cber who lived up a dis a way 25 or so years ago, he worked in construction as a cement mason his company truck was a 16' stake body truck with a water tank on it, he had his radio and amp hooked in the truck, and was a avid skip talker so took a pretty decent size chain bolted...
Are you using a external SWR meter? Usally after you get someone in ther with a golden screwdriver the internal SWR meters in radios dont seem to function.
I think the static reducing part is Highly subjective, they certianly are for reducing Corona from Hi Power.

Corona Balls are used when you have enuff watts to form a corona(looks like a arc weld) off of the tip of antenna, before that would happen on a K40 the antenna would fail in the lower portion.
A corona off the tip can happen because of sharp edge at end of antenna. I dont know who says they...
You know that's not what he means he is talking about amatuers being able to repair thier own amateur equipment. You being the troll you were changed the meaning. Since as you said your not going to help Tony nor as you said able to you label Kamikae a troll for making a statment. As far as him...
We are not friends don't get it twisted .
What Big talk did he make? He stated a opinion and said Amateurs should be able to fix thier own equipment? You jumped all over it like a bum chasing a 100 dollar bill blowing down the road and call him a troll, What did he insinuate? yet you felt...
I have a question what exactly did you contribute to this thread beside calling someone who probably forgot this morning more than you know about electronics. He made a few simple statements that Amateurs should be able to fix thier own gear, which is 100% correct many have the same feeling...
Really do you know how much money is in aluminum? 6061 or not? Charger is a saleman he is out to seperate you from your money he will say anything to sell a $300+ antenna where there is $250 of profit to be made.
I would take the test results they posted with 2 grains of salt. The guys doing the testing and arguing are know 55 Nut huggers. As noted one guy argued with Booty over a clear broken tap yet he still wanted to say it wasn't a tap and was a bolt.
OK a couple of things your deadkey( when you talk no modulation) of radio sounds like it is too high for the amp which will make it backswing. Don't know why you see forward swing with dummy load but, Dosy's are a cheap meter personally i would not use one if you gave it to me. Secondly RMS is...
