TS DX500V, convert to class C?

The fact is, Your Texas star already is class C. Ever notice after you talk on it for awhile, it seems to produce a lil more power than it did when it was cold. The reason for this is, the bias circuit is not thermally tracked/corrected. We all learned in high school that electrons move more...

Here some pics of the new rotor, Drake cs-7, and the new lightning antenna. There is VERY limited information about these antennas on the net, So I plan to document the build of the antenna and the mounting/tuning to help others. All that is left to purchase is 300 feet of 8 conductor wire...

The tower project is on hold, and antennas are coming down.....SANDY IS COMING!

The tractor uses a 22 hp fuel injected kawasaki motor. The PTO is ratted at 18hp. The tractor isnt enough to run the generator under full load but its enough to run her comfortably on a normal house use.

how can a 50 amp power supply allow a amp to do 750 watts ?

Im surprised no one has said anything about the condition of the signal out. Shockwave could correct me if im wrong, but if the signal is distorted and overmodulated (i.e. a square wave) the meter will sample more peak duration of the wave and thus show an elevated reading on the meter. This...

Oh yeah, I understand all that. I worked in Wicomico county as an 800 Mhz Radio tech and now work at a private company dealing with many commercial and federal radio/electronics accounts. My CB station is finally coming together

Well, I pulled the trigger and bought a Lightning 4+. I also decided that for ease of instal, I will use my maco 5/8 for backup and get an Imax 2000. That will allow me to mount a vertical and keep the mast as short as possible. There is a trade off in performance, but If I need to reach...

    Storm Killed my Quad.

The quads are quieter not because of being DC grounded as many suspect. The reason is do to the way a quad is fed, the high current area of the quad is along the center of the strait edge and not on a high angle point or corner. Also a yagi can have the same gain as a quad element for...

My CB station is finally coming together

Well, for the longest time ive been using a Maco 5/8 vertical on a 43 foot pushup pole, and it has been doing very well even though its tuned for the lower portion of 10 meter and I use a tuner. All of my antennas have been HAM oriented until now. Heres where I am as of now. I have a...
