In summary I attached a 47 megahertz antenna in MLB 4700 believing it was an MLB 2700. Once it didn't work I discontinue trying to use it. I just haven't gotten around to be installing it before putting my other antenna back on

This is a brand new radio with a brand new astatic 636 mic

Does a non hooked up antenna effect a hooked up one? I haven't removed the 10 meter antenna that's on 47mhz and wanted to know if that will impact my cb antenna? Secondly when I key up the my radio goes all statically. Anyway to prevent that?

I have a 980 as well. I was told by a radio tec that a small TS v plus will drive fine with a stock 980 is this true? In order to use a 500v with a 980 won't u need to drive into it with a smaller amp like a vplus to get it up to 45-60 watts? Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
