One more thing. On the original final section there is no 100n cap grounding the gate but on the dual final radio there is.. I added them I just want to understand what they are there for

So I did the mod and I'm pretty happy with the results do far. I changed l35 to 4 turns and I added large heat sink. I have not maxed power out yet to see what I can get but it seems pretty solid. It's there any thing I need to do with the limiter circuit out can it keep up with the dualies

Yup, when I got the meter I planned on using it for amps. Didn't realize how much I'd use it for transmitters. Wish the elements were not so limited

Well.. take it with a grain of salt.. I wouldn't Lety that sway me away from ekl. I think what they do is great.. they're tailored to cb it just seems to me that they could be compromised.. they're cheap tho.. doesn't mean I don't have done ekl parts in my drawer lol! I just trust the irf520n...

I personally don't care for ekl.. I feel like they got to be compromised. I always get better results with international rectifier. I've never used that part tho

Swr between radio and amp looking good? How about power reading? Those caps are on the output correct ?

Fo sho mr scientist man.. I popped that bad boy on to the chassis with short wires as possible. W grease and insulator. I figured this was reason it shown improvement.

Currently the only bird elements I have are 100 watt and 250 watt. After learning more about avg power I need a smaller slug to get more accurate reading. Can any one shed a little light on what might be more useful checking transmitters only? 10 or 25?

I used a tip147 in place of q55. Seemed to modulate on the scope better. Is this my imagination?
