Now that's one hell of a QDC. Your'll find the 10K will out perform the Wilson, especially in the RX dept. TX I feel is more even. I will be interested in your evaluations.

Wilson coils are bullet proof. If around over head cat works with diamond like grid be sire to remove antenna or cut off the static ball. That little ball gets caught and it will tear the antenna right of the mount, although I have never seen a coil damanged. They just fade in color.

Just a heavy coiled bottom shaft with a long stinger on top. Not an open coil. Like I have said before, this is one poor antenna for many reasons. I usually don't bash things but in this case I fell for the hype and it sucks.

Astatic 3K They suck.The antenna is heavy and has poor quality top mast for stinger, set screws stripped out real easy. And more to the point failed big time in a comparison test with the 10K. Buy it and your be sorry.

Turning up the power is one thing. TX and RX Alinement procedures reguires, scope,and tone generator, plus your usual RF power meter. By the way the Spectral Analizer is nice too. Just like an old bike that has been abused, it still works, but how well.
