My unit has a toggle switch besdie the driver tube....Does this disable it???:huh:
If you look at the driver tube you can see the top of the toggle switch to the left.
Can't find much on it.

Just aquired a Amp Supply Co LK550 HF amplifier.Has 3 of the 500z.Gonna let it loaf at 1500 watts only.
What i'm curious about is that my coax run is like 150 feet to the top of the beam.LMR 500?????This will be my longest coax run ever.

I can get it to power on with two batteries. The red power light comes on and zeros show across the screen.That is all it will do any ideas???:)

rg-58 approx 9 foot long...I used rg-8.
After verifying swr and some tests...Cranked up the wattage.

Converted my 2nd gen useing the capacitor/coil to the stub cable version.
This corrects high swr on omni or all dircetional.
If you run more than 50 watts on this model it will fry the omni circuit(2nd gen)

Look at the circuit board and locate R220. It is a 220 ohm resistor located between TR23 and VR7. Notice that it is installed in a location marked D23 on the board. Remove this resistor and replace it with a 1N914...

The rf outputs were gone....Replaced with new ones...driver and final.
When i key it up i have no output.Relay clicks and freq counter shows
27.965 or channel 1.
Powered with ext 12 volt supply when keyed shows 1.4 amps.
Which should be normal.....Figureing something before...
