I got it all today! Radio is in good shape from what i can tell! The LA-550 needs a 8950 tube, but im not worried about that! Also, when i but it on freq like 27.595, i have to turn the VFO on the radio to 27.593 to hear and transmit on that channel! All i need now is a Top notch tech to look...

I never had one, but always heard about the "DRIFT" problem! BUT this guy swears up and down that it dont, so for all that stuff, i think the 99 is worth a try! Do they have good Audio on AM? And do they sound like a Yaesu 101E on SSB! If so, im going to get it! </p>

Yea, it has never bothered me at all as well! Also,the only stock mic that i ever liked to use is the new round ones that come with e cobra 25 and 29's! You will be suprised! C YA </p>

I loike the RK on my galaxy when i run it! The 636 takes way to much noise out, makes you sound muffled, i dont like that at all! I have had WAYYYYYY more compliments with the RK over the years! Maybe it is a time for somebody to make a switch! </p>

I am not going to put a Power Mic on it, but the RK sounds good, i have a few around here! That is what i use to run on my mobile radios! Just wondering if it still holds it's own out there anymore! </p>
