I just bought the ARRL Basic Antenna Book myself,want to build a yagi myself for the campsite.

Big pic I know,this is as clean as it gets.....I'am in the process of adding one more antenna,the coax you see is for my 10-40m dipole,i'am waitting for my coax for my HVU-8(used that coax for my dipole heeheehee)...

I have a radio shack 6m,2m,70cm mag mount that works ok with my T70A but just orderd a MFJ-1729 to try out in my other veh also ordered a TM-271A 2m rig to go with the MFJ-1729.

I should say that when in veh i do hook up the T70A to my mag mount dual band antenna and at what 5w Iam hitting repeaters 25-30 miles away on a good line of site.. Living in lakes country with all the high and low areas 70cm/2m(5w) can be a real challage for a handheld when the repeaters are...

Update.........went with the MFJ 1712s antenna,works way better then the SRH77CA i bought.also went with a MFJ-1729 mag mount antenna for veh and hit repeaters with little problems,also got the MH-131 handheld mic....All in all i have a nice set up now for a moble/handheld........Ordered a...
