You guys are ruff heeheehee...I just bought a T-70A Icom 2m/70 for my 1st handheld but the stock ducky is well um not very good but then the closet repeater/s are 26 and 30 miles from me so Iam trying out a couple dif antennas and just orderd a MFJ-1722S for my Veh....The MFJ should do the trick...

Thanks,I did not buy the solid one but instead orderd the SRH77CA sma antenna then will go from there..I was leary about the adaptor breaking the SMA off but now the cable type gives me some options...

Thanks for the review Hamer i just bought one and have been playing with it but where i live its tuff to get anyone with the stock duck antenna,the two closest repeaters are 26 and 30 miles away 147.060 is the most used arond here and then its the D.L repeater after that,have not heard anyone on...

It came today and right now I have it on the charger,will take it to work with me tomorrow and start checking it out...It is a bit heavier then I thought it would be but it also fits my hand nice.......

I have a 945E to help if needed.My TS2000 seems to do fine without it for now so I just bypass the 945E.....need to pass my General to really get to use it and see if it was worth it(120.00).....

Well I have a T70A on the way.. Thanks Moleculo for all your imput on this handheld rig....Being I am new to ham radio this looks like it will suit me fine for the price....Oh and I will wait a year before I open it up and remove anything heeheehee...

Recived my Callsign,showed up Friday on ULS but I didn't look being I thought it would take longer,just checked and yep KD0NSC is Me......Now just need to figure out how to do the / in 0 when I type on the puter heeheehee....

It seems like forever not being able to hit the PTT hahahaha but soon enough it will happen.Just gives a person a little more time to fine tune thier antenna/s weather permitting.......

I took my test on the 19th also and hope to see it on the ULS on the 1st or 2nd of March,remember the 21st was a holiday for the Gov,so if they even mailed it out on Saturday it didn't go anywhere untill Tues....

I will let you know how it works as soon as i get the antenna analyzer from the club...I so want to turn the rig on now but haveing a new TS2000 I want everything to be on target when i hit the power button... Putting the antenna together wasn't that hard would of been faster if i had a ruler...
