and was going to do the General but desided against it being I didn't study for it.1-2 weeks and I will be on the Mic :tongue_smilie.Started to get my shack set-up and now I just need to get my antenna hooked up and ground rod in(when weather gets better :mad:)....
EDUK8TR..I have tried a few General tests on Eham and really have not done that well heeheehee,I think if I had the ARRL Level 2 manual I could do better in this short amount of time but like you said,I'll never know if I don't try....Thanks.
PS,if I pass tech I just might say...Bring it on....

I take my Tech test on the 19th,they want me to do the General also but math is not my strongest suit so I will take my time and take the General down the road,my ARRL level 1 book is getting its use and I also do the online tests now,the questions i get wrong i go back and read...
Just told wife that I cant smoke in the shack(she doesn't smoke)......And I know Better.....I still need to adjust the shelf yet but here it is out of boxs...

They(the club) do the testing out here every month as needed but I do not feel ready to take it this month.I am reading the ARRL book(level 1) and doing the tests in back as I read the book,I could just do the practice exams and remember the answers but then thats not really learning...

Great News...I just Talked to the President of the D.L Ham Radio Club and it turns out he lives about 5 miles south of me,had a nice talk on the phone with him and he said he would help me out(Elmer),he got his Novice license back in 63 and is big on CW...

I should add that the reason Iam buying my Ham set-up is so I can get hands on while I study for my TEST(s) so when I do pass(fingers crossed)I will be ready to go live when my callsign arrives......

For the same price you might be right on the FP-30,I will only be useing it moble once or twice a year thats why I was going with the RS35m,I have room for the external PS but now you have me thinking...O the pain heeheehee...
