I have been using the 4 to 5 pin adapter jacks mostly because I am not so good with soldering and they are about five dollars. I think "cb tricks.com" has the wiring schematics.

Had this for a while and finally did it. I like the aluminum diamond plate,it's a keeper. The face plate I don't know especially since underneath it is a unblemished face plate. Well if anything it's a protective cover for the original.
