i appreciate this info..my wilson mag mount came apart .i went to clean underneath it before winter. and magnet stayed on .. i wanna try something different ..thinking its gonna be 3/8x 24 threads. i tried sirios they work good. just not much better than a wilson imho..i wanna get something...
i replaced my wilson with a sirio performer 5000.. theres is a SLIGHT increase on tx/rx.. they do tune a lil better than the wilson. my only complaint is on recieve it picks up alot more electical noise. from electic wires, other cars,ect...its also roughly 5 or 6 inches taller. so ya gonna hit...
i voted suburban..only cause it has the most roof...[largest groundplane] i bet if ya woulded added mini van in there it been really closer to the suburban.just a side note . my mini van install seemed to do a little better than my s10 pu install . same magnet mount on the roof same radio
i owned the early cobra 19 plus.it had a plastic case and was black n orange in color. this was in the early to mid 90s. i ran a 4 foot firestick on my truck and i could talk locally really good. 7-10 miles im guessing. .i also had the uniden 5120 in the better half car i didnt like the stock...

collossual 10k or mr coily excaliber base . two of the heaviest duty built antennas ive ever seen. the coily base antenna is gaureeteed for life with proof of purchase
alot of good reviews on the stryker antenna and sirio. i cannot comment on the stryker. but the siriio is good and bad. the sirio seems too work slightly better than my wilson it replaced. but in town where it noisy the sirio is very senitive to this and pick up al.ot more noise. FOR ME id much...
marconi .ive always went with shortest run from point A to point B. jumpers included. 3ft . is this right? i dont know but its worked for me for years.
unfourtanly in 2019 theres not a whole lotta mobile power micsd out there anymore to choose from brand new.. now if ya would,ve went looking for used mic i recommend a astaic 575 or a handheld tuner [cant remember mode numer] but its a plus 2 handheld ..there nice too. or find a d104m6b or c...

imho- id try both being thery mount the same way..i think between these 2 id use the skipshooter..if the skipshooter wont handle the output ya wanting to use then the 10k.

i been using a sirio 2016 since 09 . still works good. better than my a99 and imax it replaced.. imho i would think the maco 5/8 may have a slight advantage with the much longer radials. but idk for sure never had the maco
