    Good luck. I wasn't able to get my USB SDR working on Linux. No problem with it being recognized, it would show up with lsusb but it was never assessable with the programs. multiple programs. I pounded away at it for a couple weeks before I gave up.

    I don't know as I'd use foam. it tends to disintegrate over time not just costing you the support, but also giving you a case full of fine powder. my preference would be plastic or rubber.

    put non-conductive supports underneath. pc's have supports under the boards. those are part of the grounding system though.
