I'm waiting for the seller to ship the User Manual which came with the radio. What is odd is, looking at the User Manual online , the Function Menu #9 relates to selection of type of microphone which is the same as the User Manual for the AT-5555Plus.
I have the new version AT-5555Plus and the Ailunce HS4. Can be converted to 11 meters and set the Low and High dead-key at home. Function Menu #9 in the Main Menu in the HS4 provides adjustments for noise reduction settings and the AT-5555 Plus does not have a #9. Could it be that the HS4 has...
President Radios must know something we don't know because they sell and recommend the external fan kit for the new Washington Mobile. Isn't odd that the air flow is towards the heat sink?
No, no, no. It does not need a fan. Once in a while I like to try a (external) "gimmick or gadget" and test for myself. The day I ordered the fan kit was the same day I skipped buying a lotter ticket. LOL! LOL!
I attached the K-602 fan kit with a three-position rocker switch to my 955HPC+ and it is effective. I like it because the fans draw heat away from the heat-sink and not into the heat-sink as other fan kits. I attached the kit to the AT-5555Plus for test purposes. The fans are much further away...
The answer to your question relating to where I purchased the AT-5555Plus and I had to get the State Police involved. DX Radio Shop! I still have not received the extra microphone. He has stopped communicating with me.
Fat Cat 4-Pill Mobile Amp with 48" power cords. I am the original owner. I purchased this amp in July 2025 for a friend who did not have the funds and he recently informed me that he does not want the amp. For test purposes, I connected the amp to my AT-5555 Plus. With 30 PEP watts out of the...
Yeah, it's all about diversity. One factory with six or seven different production lines to produce different variants of the same cookie-cutting radio.
I stumbled onto this.
There are two United Kingdom resources claiming to have the "N" version, but as you can see in my previous post, the photo which MOONRAKER provided is not convincing.
I haven't been successful with locating a new "N" version. I received this from MOONRAKER in the United Kingdom. Tough to believe that the factory would ship a new radio to a distributor or dealer like this.
Definitely a valid concern and question to ask. Earlier today I sent an email to the Point of Contact at MOONRAKER inquiring if the AT-5555 Plus N shown on their website is available. I have not received a reply.
Update: 09/11/2025 @ 0515 Received email from MOONRAKER. They have the AT-5555 Plus...
From what I have read, you are correct. Do I need to have one of each, side-by-side to compare and listen if there is an improvement of the noise reduction feature? Haven't seen the cost of the N version compared to the non-N version.

There is an AT-5555 Plus and a AT-5555 Plus N. Let's not confuse these two radios with the AT-5555N II. My friend specifically ordered the AT-5555 Plus N but he received the AT-5555 N II. My question/concern is, can the human ear detect the difference between the noise reduction on the AT-5555...
