thanks, that was what i was starting to see from poking around in the software. shame i really dont like having limitations on my gear. you never know when you might need to transmit out of band especially during an emergency. 941

how much drive from the radio does it take to make it work. i have a radio that does 500 milliwatts max. i wonder if that would work? 941

about a year ago i had found a web site that sold all sorts of homebrew amplifier parts. the had very nice chassis the the tops fronts backs and bottom cover. they also had all the parts to build solid state amps up to 64 pill. but is what i am looking for is a nice cabinet to start an tube amp...

well the radio finally made it. not very clean but oh well. did the rx upgrade. scoped the signal from a generator before and after. very little change. now with noise and the anl there was a very noticeable change before and after. so now on to the power mods. as is the radio is dead keying...

i find this very interesting. at what point in the circuit are the x and y sampled. i would like to do this myself. i have been playing with these mods for a couple weeks now and would like to scope things out HIHI 941

Does anyone know what the plate voltage is on a maco 750? i have a sweep tube version of the golden falcon that needs a plate transformer. i found a maco with a large plate transformer that may support a 1.0 amps but i dont know the voltage. 941

I have just purchased a fair cobra 1000. i would like to do the rc/npc mods along with the channel mod. or really just any useful mods you may have. i have googled my brains out trying to find any info. can anyone point me in the right direction on where a good list of 1000 mods are. thanks 941

Hello all, I have a cobra 148gtl i removed a roger beep module from. now i have no tx audio. when i turn the mike gain all the way up i get a feedback and very faint audio in background. could anyone help with a good starting place to start looking. 941
