    Thanks for the responses guys, I will check the SWR between the amp & radio tonight. It's has been a pretty good amp , nothing special but it gets out rather nicely. I will post back tomorrow; what kind of SWR reading would be considered OK ??

    Is it very difficult to adjust the presets on one of these echo boards ? I have one with a very delayed response that has NO external controls. I would like to reset it. Everything is inside the radio, looks like it wouldn't be very tough to do.

    Hey librium, My 440 is not noisy either. I have been really pleased with mine. I use only good techs though, anything past trouble shooting antennas, etc. is out of my league. But, I KNOW A GOOD SOUNDING RADIO WHEN I HEAR ONE !
