Hello,
The following link has the alignment procedures for the RCI-2950DX, the locations on the RCI-2995DX are the same.

Just so everyone knows there is also a shop out of IN or MI called Key's CB that does warranty repair on the 10 meter radios for Cobra. I've heard very good things about this shop and I understand the turn around time is very quick. I'll post their contact information on Monday.
Great information DTB! I've seen posts on other forums where people are referring to the "original finals" as mosfets. If I recall correctly there were in fact the HF50-12F by ASI. This is in fact a bipolar transistor and should perform fairly well. They probably switched to the 2SC2290 because...
You might also look at the Palstar meters. They sell for about $119.95 and are very accurate for the money. I've compared them to a Bird 4391 and was impressed with the value. I believe they were also reviewed by QST and found to be the only active peak reading meter in that price range.
It's been sometime since I've see one, but I believe it had a dual watch feature that allowed the user to monitor two channels. The DX73 had a lot of unique features.
King Mudduck,
If you're having any problems with your Stryker Radios I encourage you to send them in for warranty repair. I think it's imperative that I let you know we're more than happy to repair any Stryker radios under our factory warranty.
Now in regards to Justin's statement, that's...
We chose the M1104 because it fit our needs very well. It's extremely rugged, has a great design and produces 60-65+ watts PEP while maintaining a low operating temperature. The SD1446 actually is more expensive in Asia, but that never figured into the configuration. I may not have stated it...
Hello,
The M1104 is a very rugged and robust transistor that performs very well. All future SR-440HP radios will have the capabilities of using the M1104 or the SD1446 should someone not have the M1104 on hand. This will should eliminate any concerns regarding the availability of the...
Hello,
I'm at home right now so I don't have the information in front of me, but if I recall correctly the adjustment is VR8 for the "panel" meter.
Thanks
Hello,
In regards to the low power VR in the radio Justin says that the reason it isn't functioning is because of the board design. He recommends setting the high dead key for 10-12 watts and calibrating the watt meter on the radio, so if you want a 2 watt carrier you simply adjust the power...
The price of scanners has really sky rocketed over the last few years. Gone are the days when a young kid could afford to purchase scanner and get interested in the radio hobby.
Actually price wise the 6900 radios are more expensive than the 2950 or the 2970 ( 6900F25 is more than the 2950 and the 6900F150 is more than the 2970) That aside they are very similar to each other. For the user who like's echo, they might not like the fact that it's not adjustable on the...
The SR-440HP is capable on easily peaking at 62 + watts PEP or more. Remember this radio doesn't use the same final transistor setup as the S3 does. It is capable of more power, while still running at a low temperature and without over modulation or harmonics. The numbers I have personally...
We have the transistors available to anyone who would ever need one and are sending some out to shops free of charge just in case this is a concern. They are widely available in Asia and we're importing them to take care of any supply or cost doubts. The transistor we used is extremely durable...
