Well just to let you all know. I went with the Sirio Tornado. I couldn't find a single thing bad about it. It probably wont be here till the 26th or 28th but it will go up next week. I have another question. I see people saying S-Units. Is that 6db per unit? Had a guy tell me he had a antron 99...

Well I ordered the Tornado. I hope I'm happy with it. It will be replacing my antron 99 so I'm sure it will be an improvement. I could not find 1 bad review of the Tornado anywhere. Thanks to the guy for the good pics of it and all on this thread.

So would lmr400 be a noticeable difference if I upgraded from my rg8u foam?50' length.

Right now I just have a 30' push up antenna pole. Someone gave me a 50' nice tower stand alone heavy duty. I guy said he would charge me only $100 to take it down and put it up at my place. But someone told me it would be to high and put me out of the wavelength. If that makes any since.

I just see a lot of this coax length hype all over the net. I'm not using anything special. Cb radio with sideband hooked to a antron 99 right now. I didn't know if it made much of a difference or not. I'm still kinda new to this cb thing but learning.

Reading all this Coax length stuff. So if I upgrade to Times Microwave LMR 400 and the shortest the coax and can be is 50'. I go 492x.85/27.405 for 11 meter band? Which is 15.26. So to go by 1/2 wave lengths my coax needs to be 76.3'? Is that correct or am I way off?

Yes I'm interested in the Verticals. I do local and DX. I had the Gainmaster in mind but seen a few reviews of them breaking. Just want something that I notice is better than my Antron 99 on TX and RX.

If you had a chance to get a new 11 meter band CB antenna what would it be? One with the best TX and RX?

Can you get a stainless kit for them? Looks like junk comes with them for hardware as far as screws go.

Oh well that even better. My antron 99 has the tuning rings on it. The base of my antron is right at 29-30'. Its on a antenna push up pole.

tba02 how do you adjust the SWR on the gainmaster?

Now the Sirio 827 and the Tornado looks like a real good one. I know I have the Sirio 5000 performer on my truck. Its just amazing.

Ok been looking at the gainmaster and to many negative reviews. Lots of splitting and breaking.

Thanks for the info guys. I will check out the thread about the coax length. I was just asking cause I've seen so much stuff about it on the net. I have the Antron 99 now on 50' of RG8U Foam. Do you think the Sirio Gainmaster would be a big improvement over the Antron 99? I don't run power just...

Do any of you guys run either of these antennas? Looks as if there the same except the power handling. Also do any of you do the coax formulas that I see people talking about? Like if you needed 50' minimum for your coax run and you were using LMR400. What would the length need to be for a base...

I think its awesome. I like trying to talk all over with less. Most think they gotta have big watts.
