Man im already happy.... caught some skip coming in from the west coast and with that external speaker, Noise blanker, and filter on, it damn near sounded like the other stations were in the room with me. I love how quiet this receive is... only letting in the stations, and not all that noise...

Got my new optima and im playing around with it. Noticed its only covering 26.965-27. 405.. i thought it was continuous tuning, but is there a mode i need to put it in to tune outside of the 11 meter band, or did i get one only set up for 11m?

I use the road devil mic. Before i switched to it, i couldnt make dx contacts. Something to consider. A local said it was night day in comparison. A stock galaxy 959 with the stock mic will be under modulated.
