thanks again guys for all the replys..the noise only comes into play when you are on the fuel peddle ..acclerating..as the rpms go up the the signal meter on the radio goes up as the noise goes up..and level off say 1600 or 1800 as soon as you get back on the fuel to accl..here comes the...

one of the other drivers i know talked with the local mack tech who programs -reprograms the computers on the trucks he said that they had alot of complaints about a.m. radio noise after release from factory.so they started adding these little blackboxes under the dash to catch the noise ..some...

finally..wow i thought it was just me..thanks for all the help guys..tried a 1 in braided wire ant bracket to chasis..wilson 2000 or 5000 tried both.. chokes on any wire involved with fuel flow (fuel feed- fuel pump)..still have the awful noise...p.s. as an after thought mack installed some kind...

one of myfellow drivers had a connex 4300 radioavtive whacked/crap an all the other splat..worst radio i ever heard..couldnt turn the mic gain up/couldnt turn the power up/could barly turn it on..anyhow i bought the radio for a fair price took it to the man had all the wackcrap taken out of...

are you grounded with one wire or short loops to the chasis?thanks...

new guy chimin in but nothing competes to my DTB tuned STRYKER 440 road king mic ..you will reach for the volume knob...

tried some chokes on 4 of the 6 inj. i could reach both pos. and neg. and the fuel pump didnt seem to help any..thanks fatdude :wink:

thanks for all the help guys as far as radios go it doesnt matter if you run a uniden 520 or a conex 4600 any and all radio/coax still have the awful noise.. the noise will actually move the sig. meter to about a 10 to 12 pound sig..however this is only in the power range of the truck..we have...

best prices on the web cant go wrong !!! got a LOUD radio at a very fair price..was told it was the cleanest //loudest around...cause if it aint clean--its just noise :lol:

engine noise thanks monster its the antenna/coax..tried chokes on the coax didnt work..any other help or suggestions would be great thanks again booty monster
