I already figured out that when I solder the two hot together and the two ground together and unsolder the one yellow wire that I have normal 40 channel. I was planning on enabling talkback through the channell 9 switch. I didn't know if I could run 2 wires in to enable talkback and two wires...
Anybody know what the 6 pins on a cobra 29 ltd ch.9 switch do? I know 2 are ground, 2 are hot and the yellow activates ch.9. I'm just wondering if there is like an input and output with the 6 pins. Like power comes in top 2 pins and out bottomed 2 pins. Basically what are the 6 pins for? Thanks
Yeah I know it's the same chassis as the 98 but I'm not sure if the tuning pots are the same. Thanks for the info. I will pop the lid and hopefully they are labeled.

Yeah no worries, I bought the scope for shits and giggles and to learn something new... I have no problems using it for target practise. Maybe your right, I should stick to my day job instead of geeking out on a scope.
There is continuity between ground pin and chassis. I get the same reading on the volt meter from wall ground to chassis and wall neutral to chassis reading .675 ac volts. Then if I turn on my power supply and plug in scope: I touch negative terminal on power supply and positive on chassis of...
10-4. The radio didn't have a burnt trace before I hooked it up to the scope. The first time I hooked it up to the scope the radio didn't turn on.... I looked and it burned the trace. I repaired the trace with solder, powered up the radio without the scope and it worked fine. Hooked it up to the...
