Help what? Help you to not read into posts intent that has nothing to do with what I am posting? Don't know how I could help you with that. Don't remember ever stating once a position of divisiveness. Must be your innate ability to read into something whatever you want to read into it. Go...
No solution needed, just interesting how powerful 11 meters in regards to starting people in the radio hobby, and how once licensed the interest lives on. And without it, new Hams with limited income would have to pay much more for equipment that maybe they would never be able to afford. You...
As I stated it is just an observation that there is little new activity in the Ham sections of this forum, but lots of activity in regards in regards 11 meters. And one can tell that Hams are using 11 meter equipment, or they would not need DTB to do repairs and alignments, since he does not...
Not a complaint as such, or a judgement in regards to content, but lets be real about this forum, as for the most part it is a 11 meter forum, and as such, it is easy to tell that many with ham tickets spend plenty of time on 11 meters. How can one tell? Well just keep tabs on current posts...
How does one protect themselves when buying from classified ads on eHam etc. Does Paypal protect purchases from individuals? Any other tips and advice?
Man, but the ft-dx3000 with all its qualities, just looks cheap for the dollars spent. I can't help but think the tuning and clarifier knobs feel as cheap as they look on the dx3000. I hate the feel of cheap and light plastic knobs in my hands. Any real world SSB sensitivity, audio quality...
Thanks for the info. One of my concerns is that the Icom is behind in the receiver, DSP area. The specs on the DX3000 seems to be more current in regards to noise floor and sensitivity. Any comments? But impressive on desk does matter to me also!
Time for an upgrade, and I am going back and forth! I am going to leave this question open ended, so I can read true opinions in regards to these 2 models by those that have experience one or both models. I trust you guys, so give me some feedback to help me to make a choice....
Switch for amp, don't need full power to talk local and also gives me the option of running a seperate amp.
Talk back ( just a personal preference of mine)
Speech processor.
I always have mods put on switches so I have options.
Here is my positive review:
I purchased a new 2970n2 from Bob's CB, with mods and a precision alignment of all section. From my 1st phone call to his staff who answered all my questions with professionalism, to the "Craftsmanship" of his work ( example: each switch for the mods he installed...
After this I'm done with this issue! I did not state all of my issues with DTB in my original posts, so here it goes. Website says he will not take phone calls, only emails. Emailed him a few times prior to purchase of a $500.00 item with 3-4 short questions each and he would respond only...
Get out and read, they are just as available to you as they are to me. Forums tend to have a culture, and not all forum cultures are based on arrogance. An Amateur license provides privileges, but it does not guarantee class...
I disputed it through Paypal, which means the seller has no other choice than to accept the product back, and Paypal refunds the total amount plus the shipping. I protect myself well when spending multiple hundreds of $$$ with a online seller.
