No, the circuit board is not insulated from the chassis..... It is very critical when replacing any of the thru hole components that they not be shoved thru too deep OR they will short to ground ....... causing more problems ....... The 667V is a low drive amplifier with a built in driver...

I would highly suggest that you prepare to take the Technician class and General class exams at the same testing session...... It may seem like it's too much at one time, but when you get into the studying and practicing taking the test, you will probably find the Technician test relatively...

They are still available...... Every bit as good as what you see from two other very well known, long time builders that now have to use HG transistors...... But better because these have original TOSHIBA 2SC2879 transistors...... Just sayin'.....

BC, I can't hardly believe you've never heard of ZERO Antennas ...... Been around for awhile. Very good quality and beefy construction. Amateur Ham radio antennas......

LOL .....Watch out what you wish for........ I have a NOS (late 70's to early 80"s), brand new in the box, box definitely has some wear and tear....... Super Penetrator 500 Antenna The antenna has been well protected.......

I use the Alpha Delta switch for switching between radios...... I use the very heavy duty MFJ-2704, Gold Plated contact switches for switching between amplifiers....... In my experience, I have found the MFJ-2703 and 2704 switches better for the high power switching........

I'm really not surprised that there hasn't been any responses....... But you can't get amplifiers with genuine Toshiba transistors for the same low prices that you can with the lower quality HG transistors........

That website has been up for quite some time now...... I don't think they are the actual owners of the Texas Star amplifier line ....... Galaxy radio is still the current owner .......
