    Boom grounding

My L6 lightning quad is mounted on a hazer with non conductive wheels. How critical is it to have a direct ground connection to the boom?

    Mean well LRS-600-12

Thanks Linearone. I’m going to need like 4 of these to power my amp. $520 for the megawatt is a bit high. Mouser sells the mean well for about $60. Mouser is a vary well known supplier. https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/MEAN-WELL/LRS-600-12?qs=Znm5pLBrcAKdbBr%2FwUxVsA%3D%3D I guess I’ll...

    Mean well LRS-600-12

I read one thread on here which lead me to mean well. Not sure which thread I found it on. I’ll try to find it. I think the Chinese knock offs are poor copies of the mean well supply. The link talks about this. I will try to find the thread I read it on...

    Jumper length.

Got my chokes built and installed. 1.1 on ch1 1.25 ch40. Tuned it about 10 ft off the ground. Before the chokes just raising it to the 40ft height would make a huge difference in SWR. Now it’s the same at any height. I haven’t tried the shorter jumpers yet but I suspect it will be fine now...

    Jumper length.

2 Quick question for the group. 1: Is there a way to check for unwanted RF on a coax shield? 2: Will placing clip on ferrite beads at the meter show a response on the SWR meter if there is?

    Jumper length.

Awesome. Thanks Michael. I have a local giga parts not too far from where I work . Going to head over there after work tomorrow and pick up 213. Still have to figure out a power supply for my main amp. Working 6 10 he shifts leaves little time to experiment. But I’ll update results when I can.
