POS..never used it much. It locked up about a year into owning it...still on my bench after all these years.. But really can't say I used it much since the Lincoln was better in every wsy.

Living in the foot hills of the San Gabriel Mountains, we get 20-30 every time the sun goes down. Last weekend we has 90+mph winds...my 60' tower and 38' six element has never failed.. I had it as high as 120'...but the shinny aluminum can be see a little too far for me!

Last week a guy was splashing me on channel 28...from 6. I should have recorded the psychedelic colors on my sdr's screen.
Lots of real good sounding stations on 28 these days.
There certainly is a nitch market for quality electronics. But on paper..it ain't enough to mass build.
But if people are spending $300+ for a 20 year old cobra 2000, I would guess a percent would spend $800 plus on a good American radio. At least I would.
