Good morning, i figured i would ask this here rather then start a new thread / topic. I picked up a HS4 and liking it overall with the exception of the small stock mic. Anyone recommend a hand mic that will work great on this radio ? I dont need to have the buttons. TIA and happy long weekend!

Is this connection to pin 11 made on the UHIC005 that underneath is covered with a metal shield by chance ? Sorry for the newb question on this. Me not being a tech figured i would be able to get this counter installed and working. :)
Hi Nomad, i didnt get any instructions with the counter, just a sheet that walked through removing the clock and connecting the counter for power. I guess there was a page 2 that didnt come. As for the connecting to tp8, that was just a suggestion a friend gave me to try which was a no go.
I found an old thread from 2015 from JJ about connecting a counter to 858 chassis. Not the same counter as what i have but wondering if the connection point might be the same. Thanks!

I have used 12v fan speed controller from amazon before wired inline. May not be what you are looking for but thought i would mention it.
