Do you have a local machine shop in your area? Perhaps a guy could make one on his lunch break for you with a lower cost then being on the clock. I have a machinist friend that was allowed to use the equipment while on his lunch break every now and then.

Mine behaves like all my Ham Radios, its about a 4-ish power multiplication factor, example, 5W swings to 20, while 20 swings to 80. This keeps your audio in check as well so you dont sound like a Turd with super swing audio junk sound from the old CB days of cutting limiters as such, LOL.
