yep I think that's what's going on the RF is bouncing around off the cab for one thing. I tried this with one coil antenna the same spot on a F-150 swr was no good and couldn't get it right. I tried back behind the cab of a Mack, and it drove me nuts trying to figure it out. Open the door...

Well the radio's been playing all day while I've been around the house or close by. Here in Missouri we've got Maine, Rhode Island and California coming in. Managed to contact 117 but he got walked on and I think he was in Rhode Island.

Have you tried the silicone before, I've heard it helps?
