I forgot to follow up on this. Cleaning the selector switch totally eliminated all issues that remained. It’s even stable on SSB other than the normal temperature drift. Thanks for all y’all have done.

Will unsoldering the 3 caps from ground and doing a quick key with low power input should show some output on the meter. Right? I did the low power input from the radio and no transistors created no heat. So like you say it has to be on the input side. I’m considering replacing the relay. And...

Wanted to verify the suspect caps. They are the ones circled red? It’s a 10 pill so there are 5 of them. The tuning capacitor checked out. And the radio test produced no heat on the transistors. Thanks again 73’3

With the output tuning capacitor still installed the outer and inner are ringing common. Do I need to unsolder one end and recheck?

That is correct. But when it’s on the relay kicks in and no wattage passes through. All the drive watts disappear when it’s on.‍♂️

It is being keyed with an external keying circuit. I drive it with an older tube linear. And they are keyed with the same controller. The relay is pulling in on both driver and main amp.

99v Is a oldie but goody. I inherited one from my late uncle. Had bad frequency loss and drifting issues. Turned out to be two problems. Bad solder joint on the 10.240 crystal and the channel selector needed to be cleaned. Works great.
