It was quite most of the day down around San Antonio but this evening it is busy. I talked to California and Pennsylvania. I did not stay out in the pickup for long. It will ge nice to get a base station going again.

I have heard quite a few guys on the quad 6 as they call it. They sound good and have enough muscle to get out on sideband. No need, really, for an amp if you have a good antenna. The 980 is an OK choice, but you will need a rm 203 behind it to get the contacts.

Yesterday evening I was hearing Brazil and Australia at the same time. Skip has been in and out for me down hear in South Texas. I have made a few contacts to California on up to Vancouver this past week. Even made a rough contact to Costa Rica the other day.

I had some decent midwest conditions this morning down here in south Texas. I made zero contacts up north. My only contact was a good one out to Arizona. I shutdown early today after 3 busy days of running loads. Nothing in my receiver right now an hour south of Houston.
