Today's hamfest was good in that I got to fill a hole in my bench!!! I think this one looked particularly clean and the guy wanted $120. I have seen them a LOT uglier... for a LOT more.... so I just paid him and took it home. No slug... so I still have to find a good 'H' slug somewhere...

Last week I found a link to an estate sale being run by a local company.... and the ad included "CB Equipment". So yesterday I thought I'd go take a look. I put these on the table at the checkout and the clerk didn't even slow down..... "$20 each".

A related question. I just looked in the SAMS for the C-2000. The schematic shows the final to be a 2SC1969 Does THIS MEAN that the NTE-236 is a workable replacement???? If so.... I think that would make this one of those "holy grail" things....
