The colossal 10k is built way better than the sirio . And most likelybetter then spt500 and maco..it should perform just as good as the sirio ...not sure about better.

I like sirio too. I have used a sirio 5000 in my mobile. And currently run a sirio 2016 on base since 2009.

it will...BUT it longer than a wilson. and it can tip over ..i knocked mine over a few times hitting low branches

none of them ..get a 5 or 6 foot skip shooter ..mount it on the bed rail towards the rear ..look up breedlovemounts.com hes got some good stuff. skipshooters come in many colors that could match yours ..but my favorite is black or clear ...goes with anything

i have this radio ..ssb audio seemsca tad low to me .. am has alot of swing or audio.. rx seems fine .. i hate the small mic though

i can also vouch for the sirio 2016 ..ive had mine since 2009 .at 2 different locations ,,beat out the imax it replaced.. lasted thru many pa winters ..but for a budget antenna i still say sirio m-400 is king

well i believe ya answered ya own question.. ideally 36 to the feedpoint or bottom of antenna is ideal..but also setup like ya currently got it is better for dx ..and higher is better for local...so the real question is do want better local or dx??far as dx i think it appears to me its working...

it can be made to work with as others already posted ...however a texas star 500v is a perfect match for this radio .it take all the 2510 can dishout..
