Just made couple to see how it worked in a mobile radio, 10 band eq, SP1A, peak limiter and echo. All bypassed by jumpers but UR6QW EQ is straight off the datasheets, his echo is also straight off some datasheets. Waiting on some parts to assemble.

If hes doing SSB , the asymod does minimal to the signal. It’s just processed line level audio injected into the BM. Otherwise AM is collector modulated through pre-predriver. Icom’s DSP is pretty tight.

One thing I forgot to mention was the significance of the position the feed line needs to enter the driven element perpendicular to the element . Any other angle , I found affects the VSWR

My amp builder saw my wire Moxon I had up in the back yard at a stateside house I had and he put one up on my measurements and made it rotatable between horizontal and vertical, with a little higher reflect in the vertical plane , I suspect due to the tower , he worked locals very well also.

I climbed into the attic of my garage and mounted both a dipole and Moxon up there. They both didn’t tune very well. My ceiling was 9’ and shot skip from Hawaii to Christmas Island with just a 2950 . As with both Moxons , they didn’t do very well locally but was more suited towards skip.

I'm assuming you can read schematics, the 2000 is so close albeit different reference designations that you can use the 2000 service manual to get aligned.
