We used to have a similar store back in the day, (Felton's Electronics) but in 1969 it burned to the ground. It took up nearly a 1/4 of a city block. Took 4 fire departments including trucks from K.I. Sawyer AFB to get the blaze out.
You'll get many different responses here because as always, the best radio is the one you have. But here is the reason I chose Stryker. I like the convenience of having a knob to turn quickly to adjust RF gain, RF power, Mic gain, squelch, etc. Especially inn a mobile situation, one should not...
I stopped selling at least 5 years ago now. Fees are outrageous, you pay fees on shipping, and you have no protection when selling something as not working and for parts only.
I've been using Megawatt PSUs for some time. I parallel two 50A to run my DX-500 and I use #6 cable to tie them and [power a hub that connects my Amp to the power. My idle voltage is 14.2V and during full output I drop to 13.9v. Never lower. These readings are taken at the hub where the amp is...
Um ... What part of "That's not my question" confused you? I was simply wondering what the manufacturer intended as a power rating when posting these numbers. It seems there are many unexplained or debatable claims being made by manufacturers these days and I was just inquiring for...
I don't care about the neighbors. No HOA here. But we do have a few kids in the hood and I'm not sure I can trust them to leave it alone. But I've always had this idea abut a full wave. Don't know why.
I don't. I have a garage at the rear of the property, but nothing in the front but grass and sidewalk. At one time I had considered a full wave dipole, but them I'd have to drive a pole in the ground in the front yard. LOL.
The main "upgrade" for the 955 is the booster board which volts the hell out of the finals. I've had one of these for a few months now and have put it through it's paces. I find the radio talks well, has great audio quality and is easy to adjust. But, there is something I don't understand about...
I'm not really familiar with quad 5 n2, does it have the booster board and do 100+ watts out of the box? If it does, then it's probably the same platform.
You'll have no issues with purchasing from Ranch55. I've dealt with him directly and you'll be hard pressed to find a more honest guy. I have seen his work and it is not only solid, it's impeccably neat and tidy. My piece is still running strong, clean and cool.
