I was thinking more like having a fixed 4 pin connector going into the radio, BUT, it has a flat face with 4 circular contact rings where the second half of the connector case would have spring loaded pins that contact the rings. A center thumb screw would tighten the cases together when the...
Personally, I don't get the hype behind running 1/2" coax unless you're running 3kw or a 400' run. I've used LMR-240 for many years and have used 1500 pep through it without any issues. It only has 1db loss at 100' @ 27mhz and it's less than 1/4" diameter. I'm still using 240 today and see NO...
The good news is that Stryker is now designing, building and testing in-house. The near-future will not share the current tech as it is now. They're already building their own daughter boards for the new 955 models.
The good news is...there is another SSB radio in the works. That bad news is it's about the size of a Cobra 29. I can't elaborate on the features and asthetics right now.
Also, there will be another NC mic from Stryker that will boast a dynamic element. Something to look forward to.
My buddy had a major issue with his Galaxy as it kept throwing a carrier on SSB. Didn;t know it until it smoked his Texas Star 250 one day when it threw a 16w dead key into it on SSB.
Not a problem. That's what everyone is here for! I would at least call them and see if you can get to speak with a senior tech. Explain that all your equipment seems to land in the center of the scale so you want it calibrated to the center. the guy I spoke with was really good, knew everything...
I have to believe it's in the calibration. I sent my Diawa in to the factory with a note requesting they calibrate it to the center of the scale for each power setting. Diawa usually calibrates the meter to the top of their scales, and this will make the meter less sensitive towards the lower...
Yeah, now and then my limiter kicks in and cuts the audio so bad I can't hear it for a few seconds. It's very slow. Getting to be a pain. Funny how new technology seems to make everything much worse than the old days.
I stream everything and use my Roku service the most. My TV is the latest model Samsung and I have the auto-volume enabled to try to help the situation. But that seems to be confused as well because it keeps going slowly softer then louder, then softer, etc. Effects and audience noise seems to...
I've noticed this and what really irks me is I need to crank up to hear the dialog, but then the stupid laugh tracks they stick in come ripping through.
