(For some people) this depends upon whether or not the AMC has been defeated..
You may hear some people talk about a "sweet spot" for the mic gain, this can be indication of a "clipped limiter" (or disabled automatic modulation control), though this isn't always the case.
Often times an...
No conspiracy, just my opinion..
For all I know his phone number & address may have been posted publicly at one time, but I don't see that info posted on his YouTube channel.
Sometimes people need a break, sometimes life gets in the way..
For all we we know, the "Greys" could have kidnapped...
Mike knows his email address is public, releasing anything beyond that (without his consent) would be tantamount to doxxing (IMO)..
I hope he is doing well wherever he may be, I miss his YouTube channel; he's one of the few on YouTube that I enjoyed listening to.

The 2SC945 was a fairly common NPN transistor, I believe the "A" signifies that it's suitable for Audio Frequency amplification (& low speed switching);
"Q" denotes classification of hFE, Q would be an hFE range of 135-270.
To avoid weeding through the mountain of fake parts commonly found...
Disclaimer: I haven't personally tested the values mentioned in this post...
I'm just winging it here without referencing datasheets.. so proceed with caution.
Now, with all that red tape out of the way...
If I was going to combine an "Export use only" "Juice maker", with a magnificent example...
For this mod to be "standalone" some form AMC/limiting feedback is necessary.
NZ8N, I've never bothered using the diode/resistor labeled as AMC feedback, I've always left those out and do the processing/limiting externally. Following your highlight I see they are part of a feedback chain.
Updated the image a little.
Going to add in a circuit for the Buffer/Switch
with a lil' creativity, and a relay
you can add a switch to choose between
the pre-amp built in (4 pin mic socket)
and your external source.
Sp5it, here is the basic schematic.
Carrier supply voltage can be provided by any adjustable regulator or circuit that provides reasonable current.
The Darlington configuration I like to use

If going "direct" to the audio amp (rack gear or P.C.) you'll want to use a buffer or...
I see "T T" has posted a new video!

Who wants to build something that can sound like this?! :sneaky:
It's not too hard :)
Don't perform this mod on your prized Cobra 29 LTD, use a beat up & scratched radio.
Your power output will suffer in the name of audio.
You need to figure out a solution for limiting & switching, this is just the bare bones.
Power output with 13.8 V correlates to your resting carrier before...
Some radios respond better (than others) to power mods.
Older radios (Taiwan R.O.C. or Philippines) seem to respond well, they used thicker copper.
If you really want to build a hot rod, this is how I'd do it..
Replace Driver W/ 2SC2314-E (Authentic Sanyo).

I have used a cheap (disposable) 10$ walmart soldering iron for almost two years, I kept the tip as clean as possible (had to replace it a few times); learned to be delicate and use just enough heat.
Fight any urge to use the iron to push component leads out, don't apply pressure, you want to...
