    307 Amps?

So what would you realistically charge? No I'm not looking for a "I don't want to" price. I just can't imagine it would take a skilled tech such as yourself more than 2 days to complete, would it?

    307 Amps?

With 100 in, it swings past the 1000 scale to 12 or 14 hundred? Just a guess obviously. It's an ameritron awm-35... the 1k watt version

    I Miss....

Care to elaborate? It seems like there is a little less development in the hobby, but other than that is seems pretty much the same for the decade I've been around.

Response to Alabama Buckeye from another thread

While I don't doubt that he knows something, he has a history of presenting false statements as fact on other forums. I hope that being questioned about his statements doesn't detour him from sticking around and learning more.

    Question on FRS versus GMRS....

I would have to go with th fcc on this one. Their type acceptance means much more to me than your opinion.

    would you buy this meter

They definitely add up quicker than one realizes. You'd probably be better off to invest in a third meter and bigger slugs, but a guy that had no birds would be money ahead with an lp.

    would you buy this meter

Even then, paying less than $200 each they won't be calibrated, and probably pretty beat up. Add a handful of slugs and a pep kit and you are still over budget, and haven't even addef a cheap scope or spectrum analyzer yet.

    would you buy this meter

Have you ever priced 3 birds, a pep kit and enough slugs to use them? This is cheap compared to birds, plus all of the other functions you don't get with a bird.

    Reasonable transportable static mobile antenna?

My experience with base type antennas is limited to fiberglass verticals, dipoles, and endfeds. I have a steel extendable mast I can mount on my truck to get 30' easily, and I could probably do 40'. I have an a99, but it seems kinda pointless. I considered making a horizontal dipole so I...

Ebay once forced a refund on me because the flashlight I sold "smelled sweet." Ebay is happy to screw a seller, so I don't doubt one could return most anything if they know how to play the game.
