can the pictured freq counter be added to a cobra 148gtl and A Washington base? Where is the best point on a Washington base with pll 8734/8719 to attach wire. What is the offset for these radios to be set on freq counter? I just need to do Am channels at this time to monitor. thanks

Is there a cheap frequency counter out there that will work on all the cobra president uniden radios that use the mb8719 and mb8734 pll. Looking to wire one internally in the radio and have it sit on top. Of course a cable will be needed to connect inside and then also power the counter. Need...

Thanks for the info. Yes lost some pads no big deal as the trace and pads real small and thin traces. So Ill see if i have a 7414 hex inverter to try. I will post back with update

Here is a picture of the board and 6 pins used and 4 pins tied together. the 4 pins tied together 2 and 2 are not used with any trace to the mc145106P.

I did try that forum I was a member but something happened cant log on so I tried to create a new account and no response. so I can only read the forum cant log in to ask questions.

In my net search I did see that but needs to be connected to the DigiMax. the one I saw on a site explains> remove the 8719 install socket and plugin the channel module. then mount the rotary sw. No hooking to a digimax. So Im hoping to track this down as it looks very interesting for a channel...

From what little info I have you need to have the 11.3258 xtal in circuit and you can see a rotary switch. I also know there is another chip on the channel board. Here is another picture with the 2000 going to 29.125mhz. Thats about all the info i have on this channel kit.
