Anyone got a better plan here? swing mod like j36 mod and a better way to bring up modulation cause the way that's listed now sucks with
aany power mic at all! or maybe some hifi?
I had this info somewhere but can't for the life of me find it again I need to get down to 26.815 as its the local channel around here anyone have this? Also on a pll03a couldn't it just be swapped out for an 02a making the radio then modifiable?
So I got my hands on one and have dug all over the net for the way to get in and adjust the am modulation. Even Google ai has it wrong best I can tell. Something like hold down ptt with up and down buttons power radio on turn "vfo" channel knob down then up quickly before releasing. Its a turd...
Is there a simple, clear-cut mod to do this? The radio looks like a couple of resistors in that area are factory tied together, if I remember right.
I'd have to pop the top and look. I'd post pics, but have never had any luck posting the pics from my phone here. Any help would be awesome.
Has anyone ever removed the stupid weather board? The blue wire on the board, in a 2-pin connector with a yellow wire, must be attached to the gray wire on the CB PA switch; otherwise, RX is gone. The weather control knob can be unplugged and removed, and the CB still works fine. The yellow and...
Strange issue have a Stonewall here large signals lock it up like it's keyed the needle goes all the way over like its keyed knocks the rx audio out but it isn't actually keyed up. If I cut the rf gain back it does this less but it will also do it with just normal noise or skip running at times...
Started to mod this with the same mod as 02A ge radios and will not do the lower few channels
with pin 11 bridged with 3.3k and switch to pin 8 any Idea on this one?
Have this on the bench with the tda2003 audio chip I have rx audio just fine no tx audio at all.
Not even the pa shows any tx audio any ideas? Half burned out audio chip I think they run the tda2003 in bridge mode
could half be tx half rx?
Anyone got any ideas for how to make this happen I know on the 29 ltds and such you tie it in at the final just
was hoping maybe someone had an idea how to pull this one off since the radio has extra channels and stuff already.
So I replaced the echo board the original was EPT0SSB50B this radio only had the flip switch for echo did away with that added newer style board from 2517 the newer board doesn't use the extra plug with the orange and red wire a the other end of the board. the pic of it on cb tricks isn't...
Can anyone tell me what crystal is the mixer they aren't marked and what crystal I would need to swap in to get it to drop in to the 40 lower channels only looking to be able to go down to 26.815 for the most part our standby channel we use her locally. Maybe point me in the direction to were to...
Have a general here the tx/rx light is yellow will key up and transmit fine but will not switch back to rx Changed the 2 transistors up by the mic jack for switching already and a couple diodes in that area as well an idea where else to look at??
Would like to know where I can tap in to the radio and use the rca jack on the back of the radio and read am rx
I tried to tap the spot with 68pf cap that would be used on the galaxy type counter fc347 I think it was and the counter
reads 35.034 any idea what to do here?
The display contrast is almost completely gone unless your looking at it from the right angle you can't tell it
is on at all anyone else ever run across this?
Anyone now what pot adjust the tx frequency I'm aware that rv50 centers the clarifier but my hop is there is also one to adjust tx frequency on the main board it self.
Need to try to do an alignment to get radio recenter from crappy clarifier mod
found some info but not where test point locations are any help would be awesome.
Got these two old tube amps that came in with some diodes cracked in half google searches get me know where one of them is 7304 diode the other side of the diode has this number 29GD anyone have an idea what these are or what I can replace them with?
I have an old school 2970 that doesn't like to rx in the cold temps up here in northwestern IL.
I would think that after 10 or so mins of the truck warming up this wouldn't be an issue but this one takes probably 20-30 mins to warm up enough to hear anything yet it transmits fine any ideas where...
