This signal covers some serious ground. Ive left my house and driven 30 minutes away and have still picked it up. Thats why I can't see it being a dog collar. When I hear it on my base, my buddies that are around 10 miles away are also hearing it.
Ive heard about the GPS thing when I was searching for what it could be. I think this might something else though because the signal strength is so strong at times. Its even strong enough to come in with other stations transmissions.
Anyone else experience interference like this on the murs channels? This has been going on around here for years now. Used to be the channels were quiet and now this goes on for hours every day and night. At my house I pick this up on channels 1-3. I tried dialing up and down with the vfo on my...
I tried multiple times contacting them about alignment information for this radio. Never could get any information from them. I still have my radio and like it but their attitude when I asked about alignment information really aggravated me.
Working on a connex cx3300 hp with no tx. Was thinking something was wrong with the pll section of the board but its receiving fine. Have no transmit on AM or FM.
I have another radio sitting on the bench on and when I key the mic on the connex I'm getting a signal on the other radio but no...
I just picked up a Cobra 29 ltd chrome that's not working. Radio is as dead as a door nail. Doesn't power on or anything. Looked for cold solder joints and anything burnt up but it all looks good. Any ideas of what else to check?
Just picked up two connex cx3300s. One is newer and the other one is an older readio. The newer one has no modulation on AM but works fine on FM. The older one works fine on both AM and FM but has low modulation. R228 has been cut in both radios so I would assume they should both have plenty of...
Ive got a Northstar NS-9000 I'm working on now. Radio is pretty much dead. Other than a little bit of noise from the speaker is does nothing. None of the lights light up or anything on it. Would a bad voltage regulator cause that or am I looking in the wrong spot?
Does it after the radios has been on. Ive had radios do this where the pll side of the board had a bad connection but this one the transmit led is not turning red during transmit when the problem occurs. I seem to recall that being related to something else but I cant remember what now.
I have a General Lee here Im tinkering with. The radio is loosing receive and transmit. When you key the mic the RX/TX led will not change color. Its not a mic problem as Ive tried several different mics and it still does the same thing. Any help would be appreciated!
I have a cobra 29 ltd classic I'm working on here. The radio appears to have been hooked up backwards at some point. I had to replace the reverse polarity diode and re solder a burnt trace on the board.
The radio powers up now but the receive isn't acting right. When receiving any station the...
Changed the PLL chip. Turned on the radio and it seemed fine. Had other things to do so I shut it off and disconnected it. Come back to finish it up and tried it again and its still all over frequency. Checked the frequency at the one pin on the pll chip and its showing 10.24? There has got to...
I have a galaxy 66 I'm having trouble with. When you turn the radio on the frequency counter shows 25mhz or so and it starts jumping through the frequencies.
I replaced the 10.240mhz crystal and it worked for a short time. I started going through the alignment procedure and half way through it...
