Both are 200V 6 amp. The one in the radio is twice the size as the replacement. Should I look for something a bit bigger in size or will this small one work properly? Thanks

Actually it is a bit tricky. You can pull the board out of that microphone. Be careful you cant buy replacement parts. On the top side of the board you will see B+ and B-. After you remove the board you can put in a new battery hook up and solder from the bottom. And it is harder getting this...

The older birds were a bad design with the light on the side. You can go through battereies like crazy. Especially if it is sitting close to something you can't see the light.

That picture looks exactly right. Then there is a little foam washer where the round hole is. Sometimes they are missing and the key where your thumb goes is a little wobbly.
